"Olive Branch"

I extend your way
A say in where to go from here
You don't have to bend or sway
Just make the path clear
So stand or take a stance
Against what you won't have
Deny an olive branch
Or take your anger back

Baby, baby, it's not all said and done
You think the silence settles, but it's only just begun
Maybe, you could, speak your mind instead of run
You want a way out, well you're not the only one

If I could have a say
I'd stay on the course I am
If it's not clear as day
Let's bring it into the open
But you keep it in the dark
Hoping it'll go away
Where it festers, sequesters
Calling back to yesterday

Let's move away

Baby, baby, it's not all said and done
You think the silence settles, but's only just begun
Maybe, you could, speak your mind instead of run
If you want the truth to come out, you're not the only one

Baby, baby, it's not all said and done
You think the silence settles, but it's only just begun
Maybe, you could, speak your mind instead of run
You want a way out, well you're not the only one

"Can't Help"

How do you help somebody who doesn't want it
How do you love somebody who says they've got it
When you're going off of everything you've already heard
And can't stand watching as they groan without words

I can't help, but I can't help it
Wondering where you're going
When I can see the speed and slowing
In the circle that you're moving
And I can't help, I can't help it

How do you keep your distance with decisions in play
When he's effected, she's effected, all our dismay
And you're running out of options that you're willing to lose
Life, death, and confusion, yeah they're all yours to choose

And I know your life is yours to own, not mine
I can only make up my own mind

I can't help, but I can't help it
Wondering where you're going
When I can see the speed and slowing
In the circle that you're moving
And I can't help, I can't help it

And I know your life is yours to own, but listen

I can't help, but I can't help it
Wondering where you're going
The pain, it only keeps on growing
Waking like this every morning
And I can't help, I can't help it

"Bottomless Pit"

With a groaning too deep for words
I'm singing out this curse
Why am I alive, why am I alive
If it only gets much worse

And I'll pursue it till the end
Even as my hope descends
Because I know love echoes back
Even into the void of black

What have I done
To keep me here
And you so far away
What have I done
To my dismay
It doesn't make much sense to me
But I know somewhere in eternity
It means everything

With a longing too deep for words
I stand here, not the first
To see the light and turn
And wonder why the silence burns

And I'll pursue you till the end
Even when I can't comprehend
Just what I'm running toward, it's something more
Than where I've been

What have I done
To keep me here
And you so far away
What have I done
To my dismay
It doesn't make much sense to me
But I know somewhere in eternity
It means everything
This means everything
To me

Heavy, like a heartbeat
Heavy, like a heartbeat
So close to me
Heavy, like a heartbeat
Heavy, like a heartbeat
So close to me

What have I done
To keep me here
And you so far away
What have I done
To my dismay
It doesn't make much sense to me
But I know somewhere in eternity
It means everything
This means everything
To me

"Steampunk Rock"

I need a change of scenery
Outside of this machinery
It's a well-oiled machine
But it stifles out my dreams

When the people act robotic
And call sanity psychotic
I can't keep blowing off steam
Just to adapt to the scene

Cause it's not right, it's not right
And don't expect me to say
That it's all right, that it's all right
To feel this way
With a heart of flesh
Beneath this chest
I won't let my pulse give way
To the heartlessness of selfishness
You can't take my hope away

I'm tired of being thrown below
To the gears where my tears overflow
I shouldn't have to whistle out
To have my voice sound

Cause it's not right, it's not right
And don't expect me to say
That it's all right, that it's all right
To feel this way
With a heart of flesh
Beneath this chest
I won't let my pulse give way
To the heartlessness of your selfishness
You can't take my hope away

What have I become
My heartbeat reduced to a dull drum
Beneath a metal shell
If this is life, I'm already in hell
Cause I cry out, and no one's there
To offer help or show they care
Is this this whole world just on repeat
Moving ahead, at full steam

No it's not right, it's not right
It's not right, it's not right

"Give And Take"

Give nothing
And take my time
Give me space
To clear my mind
Cause I won't give
What takes a toll
Unless there's give
And take to show

I give my best
To what takes trust
I won't give another
Moment rushed
To what gives heartache
And takes my soul
You give such bitterness
It takes ahold

So leave me
Leave me
To my own mind
I don't need
Second opinions this time
Leave me
The way you found me
Alone
It's better off
Than with a thief in your home

Give yourself
To take instead
You give so many things
With so much self-intent
Give it up
Takes guts to leave
What you've given so much
Take flight to find you're free
Again

So leave me
Leave me
To my own mind
I don't need
Second opinions this time
Leave me
The way you found me
Alone
It's better off
Than with a thief in your home

"Where Are You Tonight"

I miss the sound of your voice
The warmth that it would give me
I miss the silence we could share
When you had your arms around me

Can't keep, can't keep
No I can't keep living there
It's dead and gone
And this is all I have

I'm right here
So where are you tonight
I'm right here
Under the streetlight
So is it me that turned around
Picked up and moved out of town
All I know is that
Something isn't right

I still hear the words you said
They give me hope to this day
And I don't know how I'll keep going on
Because I can't forget your face

It's running me dry
The life I want to live
Without you in mind
Is no life at all
But oh God
I don't want to relive
Or remind
Myself of feeling, that small

I'm right here
So where are you tonight
I'm right here
Under the streetlight
So is it me that turned around
Pick up and moved out of town
All I know is that
I can't keep up this fight

You've got me so tied down
I couldn't escape if I tried now
As I chase the feelings
That'll never set me free
I know, I need
So much more than I can see
Please, oh please

I'm right here
So where are you tonight
I'm right here
And I'm ready to see the light
I'm right here, I'm right here

"Why Don't You Cry"

Why don't you cry
For the things that aren't fair
When nothing you've shown
Proves that you even care

Why don't you cry
For the things you can't change
When we both know that you won't
Try to change anything

I won't feel sorry
I won't have remorse
When all that comes back to you
Is only on its due course
Cause I've tried everything
Only with resistance
I've felt bad all this time
But won't give another minute

You can cry, your eyes
Into streams, they'll run
Right into the ocean
Of what you've become
You can cry, your eyes
Out, honey

Why don't you try
To give one ounce of effort
Maybe then I could care
For all your endeavors

It doesn't make sense to me
How you could make so many bleed
And then not see the same coming
You reap what you sow, honey

You can cry, your eyes
Into streams, they'll run
Right into the ocean
Of what you've become
You can cry
You can cry
But no I
No not I

You've called me out so many times
Like a siren that aims to remind
Me of the things I am not
Voice of oppression, unwind
As it turns to depression, you'll find
That it's all that you've got

You can cry, your eyes
But don't be surprised, when they run
Right into the storm drain
Or dried out by the sun
You can cry
You can cry
But no I
No not I
No sympathy this time
