"Why Don't You Cry"

Why don't you cry
For the things that aren't fair
When nothing you've shown
Proves that you even care

Why don't you cry
For the things you can't change
When we both know that you won't
Try to change anything

I won't feel sorry
I won't have remorse
When all that comes back to you
Is only on its due course
Cause I've tried everything
Only with resistance
I've felt bad all this time
But won't give another minute

You can cry, your eyes
Into streams, they'll run
Right into the ocean
Of what you've become
You can cry, your eyes
Out, honey

Why don't you try
To give one ounce of effort
Maybe then I could care
For all your endeavors

It doesn't make sense to me
How you could make so many bleed
And then not see the same coming
You reap what you sow, honey

You can cry, your eyes
Into streams, they'll run
Right into the ocean
Of what you've become
You can cry
You can cry
But no I
No not I

You've called me out so many times
Like a siren that aims to remind
Me of the things I am not
Voice of oppression, unwind
As it turns to depression, you'll find
That it's all that you've got

You can cry, your eyes
But don't be surprised, when they run
Right into the storm drain
Or dried out by the sun
You can cry
You can cry
But no I
No not I
No sympathy this time
